we disgussed several times about it.. now its time to finaly get it going and make a security check. for that, every member will have to send his limited (NOT THE FULL ACCESS) API number and account number to a director.

short explainment of the API numbers.
The limited api key/number allows the person that got it to look up the skills and wallet of the account that belongs to it. so in other words it can be checked if the character desas is only a 1M skillpoint alt and is on the same account like a 93M SP char named “shrike” or “tomb”.
yes it is possible to see the the actual money on your wallet, but that shouldnt be a problem. everybody that is a bit more often online knows that for example rogue is always broke and i am the rich mofo (yaarrr).

ok that was the why. now comes the how.

go to the http://myeve.eve-online.com/api/default.asp website, log in, visit the api key website. carefully read the info on the website if you havent done it yet. if you already generated an API key for evemon or eve fitting tool you can just copy your actual one. each character in the corp has to be aproved.

if you havent used it click on “generate new limited access api key”
please send the limited api key to one of the directers via ingame evemail.

if you are director and not in this list you should (have long time ago) contact the forum admin.

as soon the director loaded the api into evemon and took a short look into your chars, and checked if your most SP charakter is in bkb your bkb name gets entered into the list below this thread. if you have a very very high skilled char (more than the usual 2-3M SP jita alt or cyno gen charakter) the nice guys with the pumpguns will visit your shiphangar. as soon your name is on the list as checked list below (only secure member division)you can create a new limited API key which will make the api key you send to us useless. (the director who checked it please write a “checked by xyz” behind it). the new api key has to be entered again into evemon and/or eve fitting tool to make it work properly again.
from now on every recruit that wants to join bkb has to send his limited api key FIRST before he is allowed to join the corp.
this will allow us a bit more agressive recruitment and we can give ship hangar acess ect more early to people. and we can make sure that nobody trys to infiltrate our corp with his half million SP stupid jita alt. cos atm every member of BKB has access to secured channels as soon he joined the corp. a spy in one of those channels could costs us and our allies billions of isks or weeks of work.
